The Marine Corps League Jacksonville Texas Detachment #1381 will award a Scholarship to one assiduous High School Senior in

Cherokee Co. Texas School District

Rules and Requirements:

1. Be a senior that will Graduate at a high school in Cherokee County, Texas School District (enrollment will be verified). ( will accept home schooled seniors in Cherokee Co., verified by John Thomason)

2. Tell us, in your own words, what the Bill of Rights means to you.

3. Essay must be hand written, in your own handwriting.

4. Must be between 300 and 500 words.

5. Must be post marked by April 1st, 2016. ( Please include your Name, and School you are graduating from. Home School please list program you use)

6. Mail your essay to:

The MCL, Jacksonville Texas Det. Members will vote on all eligible essays submitted.

The Commandant will only vote in the event of a tie.
